What Is Frozen Yogurt Poppables or Bites?
Frozen yogurt poppables are small, bite-sized balls of creamy frozen yogurt that you can eat in one bite. Ingredients Needed for Frozen Yogurt Bites Recipe
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Sugar
- Heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
- Honey or maple syrup (for natural sweetness)
- Vanilla extract
Step -By Step Instructions to Make Chocolate-Covered Frozen Yogurt Bites
1. Prepare the Yogurt Base: Mix your yogurt, honey, sugar, heavy cream, salt, and vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl. Stir until smooth and combined. For a richer flavor, feel free to use flavored yogurt like strawberry or blueberry, but plain Greek yogurt works perfectly for a base as it’s thick and creamy.
2. Shape the yogurt Bite: pour the mixture into the mold. Freeze the yogurt mixture until firm for about 3 hours.
3. Coat the Yogurt Bites: Roll the yogurt balls in your choice of toppings. This recipe is a copycat of the popular Yasso poppables, so I used crunchy quinoa. You can use granola, crushed almonds for a nutty touch, or dried fruit for added flavor. Be sure to coat them evenly, and feel free to get creative with different topping combinations!
4. Dipping in Chocolate: in a microwave-safe bowl, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave or use a double boiler. Dip the frozen yogurt bites into the chocolate.
4. Freeze the Yogurt Bites: Place the parchment-lined tray of yogurt bites in the freezer until they are firm and fully frozen.
5. Enjoy Your Frozen Yogurt Bites: Once frozen, transfer the yogurt poppable into a zip-top bag or an airtight container for easy storage. You can store them in the freezer for up to two weeks.
Customizing Your Frozen Yogurt Poppable
One of the best things about frozen yogurt poppable is its versatility. Here are some ideas for customizing your snack:
- Tropical Delight: For a tropical flavor, coat your poppable in toasted coconut flakes and chopped dried pineapple or mango.
- Nutty and Crunchy: For a crunchy topping, use crushed almonds, pistachios, or walnuts, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar for a spiced version.
- Berry Good: Mix in fresh berries like blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries, or roll the poppables in freeze-dried berries for an extra fruity punch.
Storing Frozen Yogurt Poppables
Store your frozen yogurt poppables in a freezer-safe bag or an airtight container. They can be stored for up to two weeks, though they’re usually devoured much sooner!

Easy Frozen Yogurt Bites
Equipment
- Mixing bowls
- Silicone Mold
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- ⅛ cup heavy cream 2 tablespoons
- ¼ sugar
- Pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon honey
Dipping
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- ½ cup crunchy quinoa
Instructions
- Mix Greek yogurt, vanilla, sugar, salt, heavy cream, and honey in a bowl. Pour the mixture into a mold and freeze it to firm up.
- After about 3 hours, remove from the freezer.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and coconut oil in a bowl. I did this in the microwave, but you can use a double boiler. When using the microwave, go for 30 seconds at a time and mix between each time to help melt the chocolate.
- Unmold the yogurt bites and drop them into crunchy quinoa and the chocolate to coat. With a fork, dip each ball in the melted chocolate. Remove excess chocolate and place the ball on your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- You can place the dipped chocolate frozen yogurt bites into the fridge to firm up for about an hour and enjoy.
