You can brine the wings with this chicken wing brine or use lemon pepper seasoning to marinate the wings for about 30 minutes. You can bake the wings without any brining, and they taste good too. •Oil: olive oil is used on the chicken so that the seasoning will stick to the wings. Any vegetable oil you have available will work too.
•Seasoning: these wings are loaded with a blend of flavor boosters that make your house smell amazing while baking the chicken.
•Honey lemon pepper sauce: a simple lemon pepper glaze sweetened with honey.

The first step is to prep the chicken wings if they are not already. Cut the chicken wings into drumette and wingette; you can discard the wingtips. Wash the wings with saltwater lemon water and get rid of any hair on the wings. I know there are many opinions about whether to wash chicken or not before cooking. But I prefer to wash my chicken or meat before cooking.
Place the wings on a cutting board covered with a paper towel. Use extra paper towels to blot the wings as dry as possible. Transfer the chicken into a medium bowl, then drizzle the oil over the wings and massage the wings to cover the wings.
Mix the seasoning and sprinkle on the wings. Toss with a spatula until the wings are coated.
Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Place the lemon pepper wings in the oven and bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.

To make lemon pepper seasoning, start gathering 5 whole fresh lemons, ¼ (40g) peppercorns, and 2 teaspoons coarse salts.
Then preheat your oven to the lowest setting. While the oven is warming up, zest all the lemons and spread them out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until completely dried about 1-2 hours. Check on it while baking to make sure the zest is not burnt.
Place the dried lemon zest and peppercorns into a spice grinder and grind until smooth. Mix in the salt and pour into an airtight jar for storage. This lemon pepper seasoning will last for about 2 years but is best used within 6 months.
How to Make Hot honey Pepper Chicken Wings
